The modern 150,000 square foot facility opens Tuesday and is a historical plethera for NASCAR legends. The facility was designed to be interactive enough to place visitors in the action of NASCAR. There are many hands on activities and artifacts that will pull in those who never thought they would be race fans. This will also bring fans back that have strayed away from the sport just needing a little something to look forward to upon returning. The culture of racing has been consolidated into this enormous 150k square foot NASCAR palace.
The most interesting feature of the Hall of Fame are the “Hard Cards“. These cards that are setup via kiosk’s within the Hall of Fame” allow visitors to program them with their favorite driver as their tour guide and saves the information of their visit so that they can come back and see their experience later online. This is done by visiting a website on the back of the card.

Many race fans are interested in the wrecks and only the wrecks. You definatly get your fill of wrecks with the Heritage Speedway. Think you have enough knowledge about NASCAR to play the trivia game, give it a shot on one of the many trivia stations throughout the Hall of Fame. In race week lays probably the most entertaining parts of the entire facility. This is the simulator, start the engines, shift gears, and navigate the tracks as fast as you can.
If your interested in visiting the NASCAR Hall of Fame it opens Tuesday from 10am – 6pm. Prices range from free for children 4 and under to .95 for adults. The HOF is located at 400E Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd Charlotte, NC.
